DESCRIPTION: Today's Hospitality and Tourism industry requires people who "know how to get things done by making the most use of today's technology". This program is designed to provide the student with comprehensive knowledge of the travel and tourism industry while developing entry-level skills for employment in the airline, travel agency, and hospitality sectors. Students also learn the fundamentals of hospitality management.
OBJECTIVES: The Graduates will be prepared to work in a variety of entry to intermediate level positions in the travel, hotel and catering industry. This means that the "business as usual" approach to working in any office will lead to very short careers. This course has been designed so that the graduates will learn the job functions that are common to most Hotels, Travel Agencies and Tourism offices. The students should learn on how specific skills are applied to accomplish tasks and procedures in the modern high technology Travel and Tourism environments.
CAREERS: Travel Agent, Hotel Customer Service Staff, Ticketing Agent, clerk, customer service specialist are some of the careers available to the graduates.
