DESCRIPTION: The Pharmacy Technician candidate will study the essential skills needed to process prescription drug information. The students must become familiar with patient information gathering from patient data to insurance billing requirements, to patient records. The Pharmacy Technician like any other office needs the data processed but by someone who is familiar with the terminology and the uniqueness of medical information.

OBJECTIVES: To prepare the graduates for an entry-level position as an assistant in the pharmacies and drugstores.

CAREERS: Medical customer support staff, Pharmacy technician assistant and Medical office assistant.
