BA - Education (For Teachers Abroad) BACCALAUREATE OF ARTS IN EDUCATION (FOR TEACHERS ABROAD) DESCRIPTION: The Baccalaureate of Arts degree in Education for Teachers Abroad will prepare the practitioners for leadership and teaching positions in their work with educating adults in the international teaching setting. As an interdisciplinary field of study, the Adult and Higher Education concentration seeks to understand how adult learners learn, as well as other important post-secondary issues facing today's higher education system. OBJECTIVES: To help professionals train for a specific type of teaching careers. Many teaching positions are open to those with an associate's degree. Requirements: TWELVE (12) courses in the field of study - 48 Credits General Education Courses - THIRTY SIX (36) of credits are required to be met within the sixty (60) credits transferred in at admission, or added to the Study Plan in lieu of some of the General and Major courses listed within each of the Baccalaureate Degree Programs here in. These will be nine (9) General Education courses in the fields of English, Humanities, Mathematics, College Success, Professional Development, Natural Sciences and Social Sciences. Total of - 36 credits American Century University will give credit for any of the General Education courses tested by CLEP for students having taken and earned the equivalent grade of C or higher. Taking of a CLEP test can be arranged on the following Website: universityboard.com/student/testing/clep/about.html. This is a national program with CLEP centers throughout the United States.
